A season of waiting

Corey and I are in a season of waiting. We are waiting for direction from the Lord. We are waiting for healing in our bodies. We are waiting for prophecies to come to fruition. And it’s hard to not be impatient! The last week has been especially hard mentally for me. I have cried, I have felt like giving up, I have been determined, I have wanted to scream. Uncertainty is so hard! God is calling us to a knew depth of faith and trust though. He is wanting us to rely on him solely!

Earlier I was telling Corey how I feared I would never have my voice back. I am not able to sing right now. By noon, my voice is gone from talking. It’s something that’s been going on almost a year. It feels like a piece of me is gone. On his side, Corey misses being behind a pulpit. He misses preaching and leading others to Christ. He feels like a part of him is missing. But what do you do when you are in a transition and waiting season?

Everyone has these times in life. So we have to do what waiters do; serve others! We are dedicating this time to prayer, worship and service. We don’t want to sit by idle. Sure we are in a waiting season, but that doesn’t mean we give up! If we want to see miracles in our health, finances and life then we need to be open to serving others.

As hard as some days are, I choose to thank the Lord and worship Him! He has never failed me and he won’t start now! I will continue to pray and seek his presence. We will continue to do what we can to uplift, motivate and encourage others. While waiting on our miracle, we will do what we can to help others get theirs! Serving in our church, connecting with other ministries, and teaming up with other brothers and sisters of Christ. Whatever the Lord brings to us, we will do with a cheerful heart.

Are you in a season of waiting? Whatever your circumstances are, keep believing! Pray, worship God, serve others and show the love of Christ! Just because you are waiting doesn’t mean you have to idle! Let God speak to you and grow you in this time. Deepen your faith and trust in Him! I know how easy it is to be depressed when things aren’t going well. I have been there this week! Choose your attitude and how you will wait on the Lord! I pray that in your season of waiting you will find renewed strength from the Lord!
